I thought I'd post some easy to make with or without the kids help for some yummy snacks while the country is on Quarantine over the next few weeks.  

Peanut Butter & Jelly Bars

I have a serious love of Peanut Butter and Jelly everything.

I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Peanut Butter and Jelly Thumbprint Cookies, and now these delicious Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars.

Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Hey guys, it's SOUP time again.  The weather has been off and on rain for the past several weeks and that always gets me in the mood for soup.

I have always wanted to make a great tomato soup and I think I finally perfect it with this one.

Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Every once in a while I decide to do a recipe re-do.  I have revamped this recipe for Broccoli Cheddar Soup with a few new ingredients and a couple of new pictures.

A couple of days ago it finally started getting cooler here in Northern California and I for one am super happy about that because that means soup for me.

Last night I made this for dinner using my original Broccoli Cheddar Soup and making a few changes to it make it even more delicious.

Taco Pizza

Here is the famous Taco Pizza you guys!

As many of you know, we love pizza and we love tacos around here almost more than anything else.

So why not combine the two into a delicious new creation?

Well.....that's exactly what I did.  I took the best of both dishes and made my now famous taco pizza a couple of months ago and have made it a few more times since.

Breakfast Fried Rice Bowl

Everyone needs a few no fail easy breakfasts in their repertoire.

Lately we've become very big on breakfast which is great because it just so happens to be the most important meal of the day too.

I have always said to the kids "you wouldn't get in your car and drive it without gas, so why don't you put fuel (breakfast) in your body when you're getting ready for a full day.

Most days we're all about cereal or peanut butter toast but I've been on a kick lately to make what I like to call Breakfast Fried Rice bowl with a Poached Egg on top.

It is filling and easy to make and everyone likes it.  

I had this back in January when we were in Hawaii and fell in love with the idea of  "put an egg on it" as people say.  And I LOVE poached eggs and so does my family so this was a no brainer for us.

Bento Lunches

If you know me you know one of my favorite things to do for my family is cook.  That totally includes packing lunches (and breakfast too some days) for those that go to work or school. I've even been known to throw in a lunch for friends :)

I have always loved serving a variety of flavors at meal time and now that everyone is either back in school or has a job I get to make and pack creative meals for them to enjoy.

These are my new favorite way to pack lunches for the kids and adults in my house.

I am also trying to make easy to prepare and pack lunches.  They shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to make and arrange in your lunch container.

So far I'm two for two with delicious flavors and this Pumpkin White Chocolate one is A-MAZ-ING!

Italian Delight

I got this recipe from my cousin who in turn got it from my Aunt who says there was a note on the original recipe that it came from my Great Aunt Florence Martin from Boston in the 1930's.

I have, of course, revised the recipe to my taste and time schedule.

This is a delicious casserole that has become a family favorite around here!
