It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....Cookies that is!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just a week away?  I can't.  

And right after that it's decorating, shopping, baking, hosting parties, etc......  

Let's talk a little about the baking part, okay?  Are you a month long holiday baker or do you just get out the mixer a few days before Christmas (or the holiday you celebrate) and make up a few batches right before company arrives?  I've done both so I certainly won't be judging anyone :)

I was asked by Julie at White Lights on Wednesday to help co-host a super fun swap this year.

It's a Christmas Cookie Swap 

Well a Christmas Cookie Recipe Swap that is!  This swap is where everyone will get to pick their all time favorite cookie recipe and swap with a blogging friend (that is chosen for you) to bake and blog about!

Want to know my favorite part about this swap?  You will receive your handwritten recipe snail mail.  And we all know everyone loves to get snail mail this time of year :)

So here's the deal if you want to join the party.  Click the sign-up button below, fill out the form, and pick your favorite Christmas cookie recipe.  There is a place to note if you have food allergies or dietary preferences in your house that your sender should be conscious of (your partners will have the same diet preferences as you, if possible).  Everyone will send their recipe to their assigned partner.  The person you send a recipe to will not be the same person you receive a recipe from.

By signing up you agree to mail a hand written copy of your cookie recipe to your recipient.  You also agree to make the recipe sent to you and share photos and the recipe in a blog post.  If you do not have a blog, you can still participate!  Simply send your photos, recipe, and thoughts on the experience to whitelightsonwednesday@yahoo.com and one of the co-hosts will share your "post" on their blog.
