Sloppy Joe's

A while ago I decided to try Sloppy Joe's for the first time.  Yes, I said the first time. I'm sure most of you have your own Sloppy Joe recipe but this one was really yummy so I'm sharing it with you anyway.
These were a hit with my family and I'm sure they will be with yours too.

Here's what you need:
1-1/2 Lbs. ground beef (I use an 80/20 or 85/15 ratio for the most flavor)
1/2 yellow onion, diced
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/3 cup ketchup
2 Tbs. brown sugar
1 Tbs. apple cider vinegar
2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder

Brown the ground beef and onions in a large skillet over med-hi heat until no longer pink.  Drain off any excess fat.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine.

Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns or sandwich rolls.

Enjoy!

Serves 4-6

  4. I, also, can't believe that it's your first time. They are good. I should eat them more often. Thank you for the recipe. I like to try new ones. I think mine is a little too sweet.

We may have met by chance...but we become friends by choice.
