Sweetheart Marshmallow Pops

Everyone loves getting homemade treats for Valentine's Day.  Do you know what you're making your Sweetheart this year?

Need a little help in the idea department?

How about a simple yet elegant treat you can make for your Sweetheart for Valentine's Day?

I was originally going to call these little beauties "S'mores on a Stick", then I got to having fun with all the different toppings and decided they were better off being Marshmallow Pops!

So give yourself an hour or so and you can create these beautiful and tasty treats for someone special.

Here's what you need:

1 bag Kraft jumbo heart shaped marshmallows, I found these at Target where the Valentine candy was
different colored Candy Melts, I use Wilton
or White Chocolate Chips
graham cracker crumbs
Valentine sprinkles or jimmies
Lollipop sticks

Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.

Place a handful or two of the candy melters in a microwave safe bowl and microwave according to directions.  Mine took about 1-1/2 minutes to melt.

Push a lollipop stick into each marshmallow and then dip into the melted chocolate.  I used a spoon to help scoop the chocolate over the marshmallow.  Tap on the side of the bowl to get a smooth layer and tap off the excess.

While the chocolate is still warm dip into jimmies, sprinkles, or graham cracker crumbs. ** It cools pretty fast so dip as soon as the chocolate is covering the mallow.

Place on parchment lined baking sheet until set.
If you are dipping into more than one color chocolate, let the first one harden then dip into the second color.

Most important ~ Have fun and let your imagination run wild!

I used sugar in a tall shot glass for a great presentation.
Enjoy!

Serves ~ as many as you want to make :)

**NOTE - The chocolate will harden in the bowl when it is cool, so either clean out when it is still warm, or reheat to be able to scrape out of the bowl.  I use a rubber spatula to make sure I get as much out of the bowl as possible then wipe with a paper towel.

  2. Hi Michelle,

    Greeting from Australia!

Thanks for this brilliant valentine's day idea! We probably can only make the non-heart shapes one with some heart-shaped sprinkles because there is no heart shaped marshmallows available at our local Aussie supermarket.

Nice to know you via blogging. Happy to follow your blog for more of delicious sweet ideas :D
