All American Cheeseburger Ring - Recipe Re-do

For those of you who missed this recipe last year.  Here is a super simple weeknight meal that everyone will love.
Crescent rolls make life easier and tastier and in this dish they are fantastic!  Don't you just love finding a new twist for an old recipe like hamburgers?  In this recipe you still have the meat on the inside but instead of a bun on the outside the cheesy hamburger filling is encased in a toasty crescent instead.  Delish!

Here's what you need:

1  Lb. Ground beef
1/4 cup  yellow onion, chopped
1/4 cup  ketchup
2 tsp.  yellow mustard
3/4 cup  cheddar cheese, shredded
2 packages crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In medium skillet brown ground beef and onion until done. Using a fork to break up the meat.

Add cheese, ketchup, and mustard and mix well.

Arrange triangles in a circle on a round baking stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment with wide ends of triangles overlapping in the center and points toward the outside.  There should be a 6" circle in the center of the baking stone.  Using medium scoop or a spoon, scoop meat mixture evenly onto the widest part of each triangle.

Bring points of triangles up over the filling and tuck under the wide ends of dough at center of ring.  (Filling with not be completely covered).  Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until a deep golden brown.

Serves 6 - 8

Enjoy!
