I have made Oreo Cookie Pizookies in them and now I have made Individual Chocolate Chip Pizookies. Just wait until the summer fruit comes in and then the cobblers will start!
What could be better than a dessert you don't have to share! Unless you want to, of course ;)
Make them for company and you'll never hear the end of it!
What ever your reason for making these warm gooey chocolate chip pies of deliciousness, just make them!
Here's what you need:
6 Tbs. butter at, room temperature
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 (heaping) cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a small bowl mix the flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.
In a small to medium bowl cream the butter and sugars until smooth.
Add the egg and vanilla and mix well.
Add the flour mixture and mix well. Scraping down the sides as you go.
Add the chocolate chips and mix until just incorporated.
Divide evenly into 2 - 6 inch cast iron pans.
Bake for 15 minutes. Do not over bake, they are supposed to be gooey in the middle when eaten.
Serve warm with ice cream.
Everybody loves an ooey gooey warm dessert topped with ice cream, Mmm mmm,
Enjoy!
Serves 2-4, depending on if you feel like sharing :)

Oh my!! This is a great idea! Your own chocolate chip pie!! I love cast iron pans. They really are the best and do get better with age. Blessings, Catherine
ReplyDeleteThank you Catherine :) I love my cast iron too and can't wait until I can buy some for my daughter who is getting married in September.
