Crunchwrap Supreme

I've been on a kick lately trying all the yummy dishes I see on Facebook videos.

This one I adapted from a video on Top Foodz (a FB commumity).

These were sooooo delicious and everyone LOVED them. These are the perfect combination of a tostada and a burrito and are a definite must try!

If you like Taco Bell you'll LOVE these.  Homemade is always so much better anyway, right :)

Here's what you need:

1-1/2 pounds ground beef
2 packets Taco Bell taco seasoning
3/4 - 1 cup water
large burrito size flour tortillas
small soft taco (5") size flour tortillas
small taco size (5") corn tortillas
refried beans, heated
shredded lettuce
shredded cheddar cheese
nacho cheese, warmed
sour cream
hot sauce
oil for frying

I have only put the ingredients because everyone uses different amounts of these items.  I put out the same amount I would for tacos or burritos.

In a medium skillet heat about 1/2 an inch of oil to medium high and fry the corn tortillas (flat) until crispy on both sides, a couple of minutes at most.

In a skillet brown the ground beef and drain off any excess fat. Add the 2 packets of taco seasoning and the water and stir to incorporate.  Simmer for 10 minutes.

Take a large flour tortilla and spread a couple of spoonfuls of beans in the very center.

Add a couple of spoonfuls of the taco meat in the middle over the beans then a couple of spoonfuls of the nacho cheese sauce and spread out over the meat.

Place the crispy corn tortilla on top of the cheese and press down slightly.  Add a handful of the shredded lettuce on top of the corn tortilla.

Add a large dollop of sour cream to the top and then a handful of the shredded cheese.

Add a few or more drops of your favorite hot sauce or salsa.  Next place the small soft flour tortilla over the cheese and start folding up the sides, overlapping as you go.

When you have the whole thing folded up give it a good press to keep it's shape.
Heat a couple teaspoons of oil in a skillet or cast iron pan and when it is hot place the crunchwrap folded side down (carefully) in the pan.

When it is browned to your liking on one side use a spatula and flip it to the other side and finish cooking.
It was fun to let everyone make their own and then I did all the frying :)
Yummy, yummy, yummy!

Enjoy!

Serves as many as you like :)
