Felt like trying something new the other day and what goes better than chocolate and peanut butter?
I always fall back on brownies in a pinch for making a sweet treat too so this was a perfect day to make these.
These are a quick treat, perfect for that last minute get together or hostess gift or even a delicious after school snack.
Here's what you need:
1 box brownie mix and ingredients to make the brownies, I use Betty Crocker Original Supreme
1/2 cup peanut butter, warmed about 45 seconds in the microwave to thin it out.
Preheat the oven to the temperature suggested on the box. I cook mine in a dark pottery at 330 degrees, but most cook at 325 or 350.
Spray an 11 x 7 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
Place all ingredients except peanut butter in a mixing bowl and using a whisk or beaters mix until smooth.
Pour into the sprayed baking dish and smooth out.
Place the heated peanut butter by dollops on the top, evenly spaced out.
Using a knife swirl the peanut butter into the brownies without dragging the knife on the bottom of the dish. And don't over swirl. I know it's hard to stop but put the knife down! lol
Bake according to directions on the brownie box or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan then slice and serve.
Enjoy!
