Crock Pot Black Forest Dump Cake

I am in the creative mood lately with my "smaller" crock pot's and have come up with another delicious creation.

Do you like dessert you don't have to tend to?

Do you like a warm comforting dessert waiting for you when you're done with dinner? Well, you've come to the right place.

This is a simple dump cake recipe that cooks while you prepare and eat dinner and is waiting for you when you're done.

The combinations to this are endless with all the flavors of cake and fruit available.

Make one tonight and you're family will thank you.

Here's what you need:

1 - 21 oz. can of cherry pie filling
1-1/2 cups chocolate fudge cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted

Spray your crock pot or slow cooker with cooking spray.
Pour the cherry pie filling into the bottom of the crock.

Sprinkle the cake mix over the pie filling and smooth out with a spoon or spatula.
Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.

Place a paper towel on the top of the crock to catch condensation and put the lid on.

Cook on high for 2 - 2-1/2 hours.  Do not overcook.  It will be a little spongy when done.
Serve warm with fresh whip cream or ice cream.
Mmmm mmmm delicious!

Enjoy!

Serves 3 - 4

***Recipe can be easily doubled for a 6 quart crock pot***
