I love two kinds of food the most.....
Mexican and Italian
My kiddos also both love Mexican and Italian.
My hubby? Not so much. He's more of a Steak and Potatoes guy minus the potatoes, lol.
But the whole family loves Chicken Parmesan.
I hadn't made this in forever until I had a hankering for it last week. So I decided to try my old recipe and it was just as delicious as I remembered.
Now I know most of us are all about trying to make as much from scratch as possible in today's world of quick and easy everything, but I do believe in a few prepared foods and they include... cake mix (which I preach about almost weekly, lol) bread crumbs or Panko from a box and spaghetti or pasta sauce, because you can add all kinds of goodies to it and make it your own.

Cookies & Cream Cupcakes with Oreo Buttercream
Here's more from the Cupcakepalooza file!
I made these on a whim last week because we all have a great love for Oreo's around here.
I can't believe all the awesome flavors that are popping around in my head all the time now that I've started making more cupcakes!
Why oh why wasn't I making all these fun cupcakes while my kiddos were little?
Oh well, they still love cupcakes and I still love making them so I guess it's still a win-win.
These came about because of all the Oreo's my kids and their friends go through each week.

Banana Nut Donuts with Cream Cheese Frosting
Do I really need to say anything other than Banana Nut Donuts with Cream Cheese Glaze?!
I mean really, who doesn't love a good banana flavored baked good?
I get so tired of all the banana bread when the bananas are over ripe that I decided to try making them into baked donuts instead.
And beings as they are SO good for you, being baked and all, I thought why not add a dollop of cream cheese glaze right on the top!
Oh my goodness! These are amazing and you NEED them in your life!
So cheers to creative reasoning, now go make some donuts, your family is waiting!

Chocolate Pistachio Swirl Cake & SRS
It's that time again for our Surprise Recipe Swap. This is a fun swap hosted by Jutta over at Hungry Little Girl. For the swap you are assigned a new blog partner each month and you get to look through their blog, find a recipe to try then make it and blog about it. If you are interested please click on the link at the bottom of this post.
This month I was assigned Heather from My Sweet Mission blog. I was excited to check out this blog I hadn't visited before. Heather has an amazing assortment of recipes to chose from. I actually printed out several of her recipes to try including Patriotic {no roll} Sugar Cookies, Crusty Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes, and Warm Waffle Brownies, and finally settled on her Chocolate Pistachio Swirl Cake for this swap.

Coconut Cupcakes
Here is another delicious installment of the Cupcakepalooza cupcakes that will be making an appearance in the next few weeks.
My BFF had a birthday a few weeks back (shhh, don't tell) and she loves coconut so I decided to make her some coconut cupcakes.
I love coconut too so it wasn't exactly a hardship making these delicious cupcakes :)

Banana Cream Pie
Pie is such an easy dessert to make but always seems to take a back seat to cake or cupcakes.
I actually like pie more than cake or cupcakes so don't ask me why I don't make it more often, lol.
This is a super simple recipe that ANYONE can make and everyone will be impressed :)

Graduation Cap Cupcakes
I probably should have gotten this out last week but I was in Disneyland!
Some of you still have graduation parties to celebrate and might need a really cute idea for the dessert.
I made these cuties a few weeks ago for my daughters boyfriend who graduated this year from high school.
These are super simple to make and just take a little planning to get them ready.
I actually made them just a few hours before the party.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Donuts
I've been on a baked donut kick lately. But that's okay because they're baked! Right? (nod your head)
I found this amazing recipe for Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Donuts over at Crazy for Crust and decided that peanut butter donuts sounded great to me. But being a "not totally crazy about chocolate person" I adapted Dorothy's recipe to fit what I was making and boy oh boy did the end result please the taste buds.
Not that I won't be making those Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Donuts real soon, because I will!
Now, what goes best with peanut butter, besides chocolate, of course?

Margarita Cupcakes
I have really been in the cupcake making mood lately.
I realized that for as long as I've had my blog I have only been making the traditional chocolate and yellow cake cupcakes.
So I went a little crazy over the last few weeks and now YOU get to benefit from what I'm calling my Cupcakepalooza!
I've had so much fun coming up with different flavors to make that I'm not sure when this will end! Just sayin'
Each time I make a new flavor they are immediately propelled into top spot as my "new favorite" flavor, lol.

Chocolate Mocha Cupcakes
I know I preach about how I don't really like chocolate, but the one kind I DO eat is chocolate cake mix either in cake or cupcake form.
I also tend to preach about how much I like box cake mixes. I think there is no reason not to use a box mix when they come out perfect every time. You can even add to or change the ingredients to give them a richer taste.
In case you didn't already know I'm also a coffee lover! And I LOVE all things coffee flavored.
I love coffee ice cream, coffee candy, coffee coffee, lol and I ESPECIALLY LOVE my newest buttercream variation which happens to be coffee flavored Mocha Buttercream.
