My nod to the $6.00 burger, lol
I've been trying to round out my recipe base lately because I think I've been making way more desserts than regular meals.
Not that I'm not making lunch or cooking dinner. I'm just not trying as many new savory recipes lately as I am trying out new sweet ones.
So, this week I decided to try some new burgers and you guys are in for a treat, especially because according to my 17 yr. old son "these are the best burgers ever". Lol, why thank you, Justin!

Turtle Pie for One
Growing up I remember always having ice cream pies during the summer.
Mud Pie and Turtle Pie were our favorites and made all the time, especially when we had big family get togethers.
My sister-in-law Stacy used to make the best ice cream pies but for some reason we stopped having them and moved on to other desserts.

Steak & Potato Kabobs
My new favorite way to grill steak is these delicious Steak & Potato Kabobs!
I've been wanting to try kabobs with baby potatoes and corn on the cob for a while now and I finally gave it a try last week and they were A-MAZ-ING!

Mini Cherry Pies and a Giveaway
Do you ever feel like you want some pie but don't want to make a whole one because not everyone likes the flavor you do?
Well I have a solution for you.
Mini Pie's in canning jars are the perfect single serving size. No sharing needed!
I was contacted by Solo Foods and asked to do a review of some of their pie and cake fillings. I said sure, because who doesn't love pie, right?
I also decided to turn this into a fun giveaway with some of their Cake & Pastry Filling as well as a very cute Loretta Apron.

Chocolate Raspberry Bundt Cake with Raspberry Glaze
I know you all know how much I love using boxed cake mix, right?
I think they are the easiest platform to start with to achieve a great cake, and why shouldn't we make our lives a little easier in the hustle and bustle of daily life?
I also LOVE Bundt cakes! There is just something about making them that always puts a smile on my face.
Could be all the cute shapes that are available today or could be that I'm not a huge fan of making layer cakes and by using a Bundt pan you still end up with a really pretty cake.

WooHoo! I've created my first eBook Cookbook!
Well I've gone and done it now!
I've actually created my very first eBook Cookbook for purchase on my eBook Cookbook page.
This is a project that I've been working on for awhile now and I want to thank Tijuana over at Po' Man Meals for her help in answering all my questions on how to get started.
This is the first in what will hopefully be a long set of eBooks and I hope you'll enjoy the convenience of downloading and printing out this cookbook as much as I did.
What a great concept, right? Not having to run to the computer or iPad (that's what I usually do) for a recipe that I've seen on someone's blog and spending precious time trying to find that favorite recipe. This way all you do is download the file and open it each time you need to.
Thank you all for being such loyal followers and taking the time to read my blog, because believe me I know how many great blogs are out there and how hard it is to find the time to get to them all each week.
Great big hugs and kisses ~ you guys rock ~

Carrot Zucchini Bread
I have been trying to come up with a few healthier (wink) recipes for the fall and this one is a keeper.
With Fall being my favorite time of year, and right around the corner, I'm trying out some new and delicious recipes.

Pico de Gallo
Every time I make Mexican food my son asks for Pico de Gallo.
I have a great Fresh Homemade Salsa recipe that I usually keep on hand but he wanted Pico de Gallo.
So this is what I came up with. It was really good and I'll definitely make it again!

Buttermilk Biscuits
These buttermilk biscuits are a family favorite and I've been making them for years.
I make them for breakfast and dinner alike because they go with anything or just by themselves :)
They are so light and tender and delicious that everyone always asks for more!
Biscuit making is really very easy. The trick is just like with pie dough you don't want to overmix your dough or the biscuits will turn into hockey pucks, lol
