Chicken Alfredo Lasagna

I love lasagna!   My family loves lasagna!  My friends love lasagna!  See where I'm going with this?  

We all love lasagna, and I do make an awesome one if I say so myself.  

So with my lasagna in mind I decided to try something new and make a Chicken Alfredo Lasagna for dinner.  It was a total hit and everyone loved it.  

It's good to try something new every once in a while, even if you like the old way better at least you'll know what the new way tastes like.

Zebra Cupcakes

Do you ever have the feeling that all you do is Pin stuff from Pinterest but never actually TRY the recipes?

I sometimes do and I know that even though I have every intention of trying all the recipes I Pin that I'm lucky if a couple actually get made.

These Zebra Cupcakes & Cake are one of those I've seen all over Pinterest lately and I just had to try it.

The ones I've seen all call for "from scratch" cake batter and if you know me at all you know I LOVE boxed cake mix, so ya, that wasn't going to happen, lol.

I'll say it again.  I don't see anything wrong with baking my cakes with a boxed cake mix. I actually think they are lighter and more moist then most from scratch recipes I've tried.   And if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Grilled Corn on the Cob with Chipotle Chive Butter & SRS

Here we are again for the Surprise Recipe Swap hosted by Jutta over at Hungry Little Girl.  I've had a blast so far and really enjoy meeting all the wonderful bloggers and reading their blogs as well as trying some of their amazing recipes.

This month I was assigned SteakNPotatoesKindaGurl for the Monthly Surprise Recipe Swap I participate in.

Desi has an awesome blog and I had a hard time trying to choose between all her wonderful recipes.  I was torn between Bacon Spinach Cheese Ball because um, Hello..  Bacon and cheese! Her Endive, Avocado, and Bacon Salad with Chipotle Ranch Dressing, and the one I decided on Grilled Corn with Chipotle Chive Butter and let me tell you, I'll definitely be making the salad soon!

Now I might not be from the South, can't even be considered Southern California, really, but I do like my Southern Sweet Tea.

What makes Southern Sweet Tea what it is is the sugar that's involved.

And I mean real sugar!  Not that yellow, pink, or blue stuff!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break this week or last.

We went to Arizona for the week to visit my parents and had a great time.  Plenty of sun in Arizona!

I haven't been working on much lately, pretty much just trying to get back into the swing of things.

Rainbow Cake

This was one of my very favorite cakes to make.

It's right up there with my Kit Kat Cake that I made for my son's 16th Birthday.

I made this cake for my daughter's birthday a few weeks ago.

Beef & Cheddar Sliders with Campfire Sauce

I've been in the mood for hamburgers lately and as much as I love the regular ones, there's just something magical about sliders.

I don't know if they actually are better, or if it's just because I'm a sucker for the teeny tiny size but to me they are delicious!
