I've been having a great time this past week coming up with all kinds of reinvented fun holiday desserts.
You could easily make these for any holiday just by swapping out the color of the M&M's.
These look very similar to the Easter Basket Cookie Bars I made last time. But with the change of the Reece's Eggs to Pretzel M & M's and the swap of sugar cookie base instead of graham cracker they are a completely different cookie bar yet still delicious.
I could probably do this all month with all the different candies out there. Just think of the endless possible combinations and you can create your own too.
OR you can just follow my recipes and don't have to think up something new AND you know it's already been tested :)
Here's what you need:
2 cups crushed shortbread cookie crumbs, I used a whole box of Girl Scout Shortbread cookies
10 Tbs. butter, unsalted and melted
1 - 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 - 9.9 oz. bag of Pretzel M & M's
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 - 3 Tbs. Holiday Sprinkles
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl pour the cookie crumbs and the melted butter. Mix until it resembles wet sand.
Press mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan or dish.
Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cookie base, going all the way to the edges.
Sprinkle with M & M's, then white chocolate chips, and finish with holiday sprinkles.
Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely then slice and serve.
Serves 24 - 30 squares depending on how big you cut them.

These are so colorful and sweet. We're having a party at Tumbleweed Contessa along with Hammock Tracks and Call Me PMc. I'd love it if you would hop on over with these to share.
