Were we just not as inventive back then as we are with names today?
I can't figure out why my Magic Cookie Bars are still called 7-layer bars.
I've NEVER actually put 7 of anything in them, lol.
I've decided to make a few new holiday variations on those cookie bars because they are so tasty and super easy to make.
You can actually use this recipe at any holiday thanks to M&M's who now make their candy in every holiday color know to man!
So here is easy Easter dessert number two that will only take a few minutes to prepare and is scrump-dilly-umptious!
I think the name is slightly better than those 7-layer bars, lol.
Here's what you need:
1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter, unsalted, melted
1 - 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup Reese's Pieces Easter Egg candy's, I bought them in these 3.5oz. milk cartons and used 2
2 cups coconut
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl pour the graham cracker crumbs and the melted butter.
Mix until it resembles wet sand. Press into the bottom of a 9 x 12 or 9 x 13 baking pan or dish. I just bought this short sided "brownie" pan from Target (Calphalon) and it's a 9 x 13 and is perfect for these bars.
Pour on the entire can of sweetened condensed milk, getting all the way to the edges.
Sprinkle on the Reece's eggs.
Sprinkle on the coconut making sure to get it all the way to the edges.
Lastly, sprinkle on the white chocolate chips.
Bake for 25 minutes or until edges are a golden brown.
Cool completely then cut into squares and serve.
Here are the cute Reese's Pieces Egg cartons I found at Target.
Serves 24 - 30 bars (or less if you cut them bigger :)
Enjoy!

Nice, it looks perfect! I need a web hosting. a friend of mine recommended me www.elcoplanet.com have you ever heard about them. i have checked there web site and it seems that they offer chip prices and good performances unlimited web hosting space and unlimited bandwidth.
ReplyDeleteHe Jean, Elcoplanet.com are ok, I used their services few years ago, nowdays I am using www.eaglehsot.info and their Alpha Reseller package, I can see now they have Super Alpha Reseller so I can try it when I have more money , I am kidding www.eaglehost.info are pretty cheap because they have own network compared with www.bluehost.info or www.ixwebhosting.com they are maybe popular but they are just resellers, so www.eaglehost.info is my recommendation, go for it
