Italian Sub Sandwich

You've probably heard me talk about the lunch situation around here and the fact that I have a hubby that works from home, a daughter getting ready for boot camp in 4 weeks, and a son who is on independent study and they are all home for lunch every day.

I try to come up with different things to make so we don't get bored from the same old sandwiches or burger joints.

We love Quiznos and their toasty sandwiches but they have moved from the area so I came up with an alternative to make at home.

We all loved this sandwich and have made them several times since.  I'm sure you'll enjoy this sandwich as much as we have!

Here's what you need per sandwich:

2 slices ham, I used brown sugar or Virginia
2 slices oven roasted turkey
2 slices Angus roast beef
3-4 slices salami
1/3 (ish) cup grated Italian cheese blend
sprinkle of Italian seasoning
sprinkle of Italian salad dressing
1 sub sandwich roll

Heat oven to 400 degrees.  Place a piece of parchment on a baking sheet and set aside.

Slice the sub roll in half.  Sprinkle with a little bit of the salad dressing on each half, about a tablespoon per half.
Start layering the lunch meat on one side.  Any order is fine.

Place the cheese on both sides and sprinkle with the Italian seasoning.

Bake for 5 - 8 minutes or until just starting to brown and crispy.
Close sandwich, slice in half and serve warm.  YUM!  Go make one today!

Enjoy!
