It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go....
Especially out here in blogland; everyone is gearing up for the holiday season with new recipes to share in time for you to try them too.
Do you feel like you make the same old cookies year after year at the holidays?
I sure do!
So this year I decided to make some new recipes and this one turned out so delicious that I can't wait to serve them to company!
And you know me, I'm not even a chocolate person and I think these are amazing!
So stay tuned and you're sure to pick up a few new holiday treat recipes this year :)
Here's what you need:
1 cup butter, unsalted at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbs. half & half
1 bag Hershey's Kisses Candy Cane flavor
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer or large mixing bowl cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add the vanilla and mix well.
Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and mix until incorporated. It will be dry.
Add the half & half and mix until incorporated.
Roll the dough into walnut sized balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet about 1-1/2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 minutes.
As soon as they are out of the oven place the peppermint kiss in the center and push down lightly until it is set in the cookie.
Cool for 5 minutes on the baking tray then move to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
The chocolate and peppermint flavor of these cookies reminds me of cool winter days.
Enjoy!
