Cheesy Bacon Dip

Here is another recipe that we served at New Year's Eve that I think would be wonderful for a Super Bowl party.  My friend Kathy Hartman gave this recipe to me last year and I forgot I had it until she made this year for our New Year's Eve bash.

Here's what you need:

8 oz. Colby cheese, shredded
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 - 2.8 oz. package bacon bits (fresh are okay too)
1-1/2 cups mayonnaise (I only use Best Foods)
1/2 cup yellow onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl and pour into an oven proof dish.

Bake for 30 - 45 minutes.  I only made half the recipe so I baked mine for 25 minutes.
Serve with cubed french bread, crackers, or chips.

This can also be cooked right in a bread round.  Just make the full recipe, hallow out a bread round then fill it with the dip and completely seal the whole bread in tin foil.  Place on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.

Enjoy!
