About Me

Hi there,  I'm Michelle the proud owner of Michelle's Tasty Creations.  I'm so glad you decided to drop in today.  I hope you find some yummy recipes and fun crafts to take home with you.

My love for cooking and baking started at a young age.  I remember being in the kitchen with Mom and helping cook dinner and make desserts as a teenager.  I remember loving the food my mom cooked and thinking no one was a better cook.  I now know that my Mom and her sister, Auntie Sharon, both got their great cook and baking skill from my Grandma.  I can honestly say (and I'm not bragging, just being honest) that I was lucky enough to get that skill too, as well as my older brother.  So, Thank you Grammy for passing that on!

I have always had a fascination with cookbooks.  I Love to buy them, read them, and just look at the pretty pictures.  In fact, my favorite saying while shopping in Williams-Sonoma  is "I WILL NOT buy another cookbook today"!  and invariably I come home with a cookbook more often than not.

I also love to craft which also started as a teenager.  I can remember making wreaths and ornaments while I was in High School and then got into sewing, scrap booking, and card making in my early twenty's.  I don't do to much sewing anymore but I'm trying to get back into embroidery.  I REALLY wish I knew how to knit.

I am a stay at home mother of two teenagers, married to my best friend for 22 years now and the light of my dog "Harley's" life.  I love to cook, bake, read, craft, collect make-up, collect fabric,  travel, be in the mountains whenever possible, and spend time with my family and friends.

I decided to start a blog so I could post new recipes I have tried or "invented" as well as favorite ones revisited and share them with you.  I will try to keep you up to date as often as possible; but keep in mind what I have always said about myself.......I'm a great project starter.

Enjoy!

~Hugs~

  5. Michelle, we 'met' on Tasty Kitchen and you were the first blogger to invite me to a Link Party. Thank you so much. My blog was very new at the time and that opened me up to so many blogs and friends. I visit your blog often and get the feeling of 'being home' when I do. Even though we're many states apart I find our life is not that much different. Thank you for sharing your life with us!
    Your friend in the blogasphere!
